I found the book compelling and engrossing. This family went thru
a lot of crap and the lawyers didn't
make it any easier once they got involved. A tragedy.

although Ms. Katzir's family story seemed so different than my
family's story, , by the end of the book , I felt that there was so
much in common with my family situation . As Tolstoy once wrote ,"
every unhappy family is unhappy in it's own way"..... In "Broken
Birds" , I found relief as I was able to relate so well through the
heartfelt and painfully honest writing of Jeannette Katzir. This
book is a keeper.

Such a new and important way to look at how our history affects our
present and our future. This is a story that needed to be told.

It’s so sad that the horrific experience endured by the author’s
mother could have such a painful effect on the family. While this is
just one family’s struggles, I think others can relate to the issues
and hardships described in this emotional and gripping book. I feel
your pain! Nancy
